What is 18ct vermeil jewelry?

 

Pronounced ‘ver-may,’ vermeil differs to traditional gold plating by the thickness of the gold and the quality of the base metal used.

 

Plated jewelry typically uses lower quality metals, like brass or steel, while vermeil jewelry is crafted from high-quality sterling silver. Vermeil also boasts a thicker, more durable 2.5-micron gold coating. By contrast, plated jewelry typically has one layer of very thin gold that can be easily chipped or worn off.

 

I am allergic to plated jewelry, will I be allergic to vermeil too?

 

Most people who are allergic to plated jewelry are commonly reacting to nickel, which is commonly used in the electroplating process and to color the gold. This cheap metal does not feature in our vermeil jewelry, so those who have experienced a reaction to the nickel in gold plated jewelry should not be affected by vermeil. 

 

The ring or bracelet size I am looking for is not available, can you help?

 

We want our beautiful designs to be available to everyone. If we can, we will do our best resize or custom make a piece to fit you. Please contact our customer care department to see how we can help.

 

My warranty has expired, will you still repair my jewelry?

 

Yes. Our jewelers will be happy to professionally clean, reset or repair your jewelry for a small charge, even after your warranty has expired. Contact us to find out more.

 

What kind of gemstones does Esmée Bo. use?

 

We guarantee that all the stones we use are high quality, natural gemstones.

 

Why can’t I find my country in shipping?

 

We are working hard to provide a truly international shipping service. However, we are not able to ship to every country just yet. Please bear with us, we will add your country to the list as soon as we can.

 

Where’s my order?

 

You can track the progress of your order from the ‘My Account’ dashboard on our website. Your shipment will go through three processes before it arrives with you

 

Pending:

We have received your order and are verifying your payment. Forgotten to add something to your cart? You can still make changes and amend your order while it is in the pending stage.

 

Processing:

Our shipping department has received your order and is currently packaging it for delivery. We ship items during business hours from Monday to Friday. Please be aware that we do not ship during weekends and public holidays, which may delay your order.

 

Shipped:

Your order is on its way to you. You will receive an email to confirm dispatch and provide a tracking number to monitor the progress of your item. We cannot amend or cancel orders once they have been dispatched.

 

Can I return or exchange my purchase?

 

Yes. Esmée Bo. is happy to refund products providing they are returned unworn, undamaged and in their original packaging within 14 days of purchase. We also offer one exchange per item. Please see our returns and exchange policy for more details.
